About the ASSP Volunteer Leadership
A safety trainer with over five years of experience, Keith Walter Pillich graduated from the University of Buffalo. He holds the OSHA safety training designation and the industrial hygiene and HAZWOPER licenses. Keith W. Pillich engages with industry members and keeps current with his profession through the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
For over a century, ASSP has been a professional community for over 36,000 safety and health professionals worldwide. ASSP members enjoy several benefits to advance their career and education and participate in ASSP’s volunteer leadership opportunities.
By becoming ASSP volunteer leaders, members develop team and consensus-building skills even if their employer does not allow that type of engagement in their organization. The ASSP volunteer leader receives leadership training, connects to other professionals, and has access to the latest safety trends insights that lead to professional growth and better job opportunities. The Society offers common interest group leadership positions, council and committee appointed leadership positions, Society elected leadership positions, and more. For instance, members vote on the council vice presidents and appoint committee leaders.
