ASSP Announces Hybrid 2021 Safety Conference

Over the past 10 years, Keith Walter Pillich has established himself as an environmental and health safety (EHS) specialist. After completing his studies in toxicology and safety management at the University of Buffalo, he oversaw all safety training of more than 2,000 construction workers involved in the build-up of Tesla Solar City. In addition to his full-time work, Keith W. Pillich is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).

The American Society of Safety Professionals promotes occupational safety and health in work environments. The association holds an annual conference for industry specialists to meet and discuss the advances in the occupational safety field.

ASSP announced that the 2021 Safety Professional Development Conference and Exposition will be held in September in Austin, Texas. The three-day event provides an opportunity for professionals to learn about best practices and discuss the latest product innovations.

Unlike previous editions, this year’s conference will be conducted as a hybrid event held online and in person. To accommodate participants who prefer to attend the conference from home, ASSP will facilitate educational sessions through a virtual mobile-compatible program. Additionally, attendees tuning in online can earn up to six continuing education units (CEUs).

On the other hand, visitors attending the live event will abide by safety protocols such as mandatory face coverings, social distancing, and contactless registration. There will be limited seating in meeting rooms to prevent crowds. Visitors attending the conference in person can earn up to seven CEUs.
